HOTMAIL ON SONY S1? how do I set up my hotmail account?

hiyaaaa

I want to set up my hotmail account, but I tried with no success

I have done everything that it asks me to do: the email account and password; then the account type (which i believe is POP3), then the Incoming server settings that I have no clue how to configure it..

I am lost! I am lossstttt!!!!

I want my hotmail !!! My tablet just need that to be complete!

    Hi loux84,

    welcome to Questions & Answers..

     

    The following should allow you to set up your hotmail account on the Sony tablet..

    Go to Settings & click on add an Account.

    Type your full Hotmail email address & then enter your password

    Then click Manual setup.

    On the next screen click on Exchange.

    Next to Domain/Name delete what's currently shown and enter your full hotmail email address.

    Skip the password line as this should be correct.

    Next to Server change to m.hotmail.com

    Then below Server option make sure that Use secure connection (SSL) IS selected & that Accept all SSL certificates is NOT selected.

    Click Next.

    You can change any of the following settings if you wish or simply click next if you want to accept the default ones.

    Give your account a shorter name if you wish, then click next.

     

    Then open your email app to view your emails..

    incorrect server address!! that's the messege im getting when i try to add my hotmail account.... whats is that?

    Did you change the Server to m.hotmail.com..

    Hi,

    I'm struggling to add my hotmail account to my tablet .

    I've followed the above instructions, but it's still not working , what port number should I  be using?

    Hi ruuuth,

    welcome to Questions & Answers..

     

    You shouldn't need to touch port numbers when doing the hotmail set-up..

    Are you sure you are selecting exchange during the set up.?

     

    Go to Settings & click on add an Account.

    Type your full Hotmail email address & then enter your password

    Then click Manual setup.

    On the next screen click on Exchange.

    Hello Thalamus,

     

    I have also a problem for set up my telfort.account in Holland. I have tried to set up as you told on the hotmail account, but that is not working. Can you help me also?
