Sony is rolling out Android 14 to the Xperia 1 V soon

With the new Android 14 software update, a number of popular features from the Xperia 5 V will also be available on the Xperia 1 V, including an improved Bokeh mode and more creative features in Video Creator

Sony has today announced that Android 14 will be available on the Xperia 1 V. With the new software update, several functions from the Xperia 5 V will now also be available on the Xperia 1 V. Users can e.g. look forward to an improved Bokeh mode, while the update also brings even more creative options to Video Creator.

Android 14 brings Video Creator & Bokeh mode to Xperia 1 V

With Xperia 1 V’s Android 14 software update, exciting features from Xperia 5 V will come to Xperia 1 V as well. Following the successful inclusion with Xperia 5 V, improved Bokeh mode will be available for Xperia 1 V, together with the recently released update bringing Video Creator, we are delivering even more creative functionality to our existing customers; actual software release timing depends on region and market approval.

The new improved bokeh mode promises to elevate your portrait pictures closer to professional cameras. The addition delivers high quality images with the added ability to decrease focus in the background to emphasise objects at the foreground, producing an artistic effect. Bokeh mode is also available on 24mm lens and 48mm focal length. ​

Video Creator is a proprietary application which enables the quick and easy creation of short videos with advanced editing features, especially useful when creating video content intended for social media platforms.
