It's only a few weeks ago that I purchased this TV but I know already that I have an excellent product. Just setting it up, I could feel the build quality and the Sony reliability has long been established. It's like wearing a new pair of quality shoes, you feel really great. The only negative I have found is, there are so many settings it has been frustrating fine tuning personalisation but it's worth it when achieved. I can't testify for the sound quality because I also bought a Sony sound system which has been well worth the extra cost (and highly recommend) when compared to other TV's standard sound.

Qualità video ottima. Purtroppo appena arrivato a casa ho provato a collegare le mie cuffie Bluetooth al TV ma, nonostante sul cartellino sul TV fosse evidenziato "connettività Bluetooth" mi rendevo conto , dopo aver consultato il manuale online, che l'audio non è supportato. Non ho restituito il TV perché ho dato priorità allo schermo, venendo da un deludente LG, ma comunque la considero una grave pecca anche perché lo spinotto delle cuffie non è facilmente accessibile e soprattutto perché l'audio delle cuffie non è separato da quello dei diffusori. Grande qualità ma si sono persi in questi banali dettagli....dalla Sony mi sarei aspettato qualcosa in più....

Questo prodotto Sony per i primi anni era tutto OK , ultimamente dopo un aggiornamento ha cominciato a creare problemi in merito alla memoria dei canali, perchè li scarico li metto in ordine e dopo un po' spariscono, ho provato a resettare il TV rimettendolo alle impostazioni di fabbrica ma purtroppo nulla da fare.

This is a warranty replacement

The original set that I bought 4yrs. Ago developed a fault where thin black lines could be seen across the screen. Usefully the tv had a 5yr warranty and Sony arranged for an "as new" replacement to be delivered. The replacement seems to be working fine, although I have noticed that the screen goes black and the sound disappears for 1 or 2 seconds very occasionally, which I hadn't noticed on the previous set, but I haven't managed to diagnose whether it is caused by the tv or my broadband . I still have almost a year of warranty remaining so time will tell. I am unable to pair my Sony headset with the tv, which I was unable to do on the original set either, until an engineer installed an app. To correct it.

Funzionava benissimo, senza problemi, rallentamenti e bug. Ottime funzioni, è quello che mi aspettavo. Video e audio da standard Sony, quindi eccezionali. 2 problemi però: dopo poco ha smesso di funzionare la funzione audio del telecomando; il penultimo aggiornamento di Android ha reso tutte le funzioni lentissime!

I bought this TV sometime ago, it has performed brilliantly in all respects, Picture and sound were set up well from the factory and didn't need altering. It has both terrestrial and satellite connections, 4 HDMI, 2 USB and Ethernet connections, plenty of installed apps that can be added to. I can get Google etc and all Internet programs which I use a Bluetooth keyboard to navigate round. What more can you ask? Very happy with my purchase.

I have stayed loyal to Sony all my life. From Walkman cassette player, video recorders to the latest television. This was a big and considered expensive product. The picture was stunning and I was over the moon. Then the problems started. Kept freezing, remote control unresponsive, menu wouldn’t work had to keep switching the TV off at the means and back on just to continue watching a show. After googling it for some time it soon became apparent that this is a very common problem and there are many many people and forums dedicated to this problem. I contacted Sony for help. How disappointing. I said to them everything that I had done, restarting the TV, updating the software, new batteries in the remote everything. After a few day they just sent me an email basically suggesting everything I have already told them I had done. Which would suggest that my email hadn’t even been read. It was also suggested that if none of there advice worked then I will have to pay to have it repaired. Even though I stated in my email and they are aware ( as stated in forums online) of this problem. So after 40 years I will never buy another Sony product again. So so bitterly disappointed and to be honest shocked. So my advice to anyone is DO NOT BUY READ ABOUT THE PROBLEMS ONLINE

BUY SIMETHING ELSE - this will not work with bluetooth headphones and in wall mounted impossible to fix attachments that would need to be attached to make any headphone functional. unfortunately tv was already supplied in a newbuild - would never have chosen it. good screen though i will grant that but not used because cannot hear the sound without headphones. utterly useless

Dal momento che o scaricato l'ultimo aggiornamento il tv non è più andato bene non registra più, registra 3 minuti poi si ferma e non riconosce più la chiavetta si blocca e devo scollegare l'alimentazione per ripristinarlo nel cambio dei canali si blocca dicendo che non c'è più segnale ecc

Laatste update van onze Sony TV ( Android ) in de 2e week van 2024 is waardeloos voor onze soundbar HT-SF200 ook van Sony , voor de update ging onze soundbar HT-SF200 altijd automatisch aan via het HDMI ( ARC ) kanaal en na de update niet meer en moet ik eerst de AUX 3,5 mm. achter uit de TV halen anders doet de Sony soundbar HT-SF200 het niet WAARDELOOS en als deze aansluitingen nu op een beetje makkelijker plaats zat dan was het nog te doen maar je moet er alles aan de achterkant uithalen en het andere er weer in doen en daarbij kun je ook nog eens een keer helemaal niets zien als je niet eerst alles demonteert , dus jullie bij de Sony kunnen wel nagaan dat onze volgende TV niet meer van de Sony is .

Bought this model in April 2021. Some 18 months later it developed a fault with the screen. As it was under warranty, Sony replaced with a new set and to date we have been happy with it. It come with a good software package and is easy to use. Full marks to Sony for service.

Bought this 3 years ago as a 4k upgrade over a 5 year old Samsung . Don’t really use the android function much as it seems very limited. Didn’t find the printed user guide much use and some of it’s diagrams were irritating as I prefer words. The price of a multilingual society I suppose. I bought this model partly because it would fit on the tv table I use to stand it on. Many rivals were too wide. The picture is consistently good. The WiFi was buffering and cutting out regularly so I now use an ethernet cable from the router in the next room and this has been fine. The remote failed for no apparent reason but Sony replaced it after 2 long phone discussions, proving purchase under the 5 year guarantee.

5 year warrantee claims to replace your tv if it goes wrong within 5 years. What they don’t say is they will replace this with a second hand refurbished replacement. Possibly older than the one you purchased.

Comprato ad ottobre 2020. Ottima resa video, qualità audio nella norma. Adatto al gaming, ma senza porta hdmi 2.1. La pecca forse è il sistema operativo Android che non si è più aggiornato. Pur essendo un tv del 2020 l’ultimo update è di luglio 21.

Quality entry point set into 4K HDR

Surprisingly well bodied audio, excellent image quality and easy to tune for the last few % to squeeze out slight improvements. Not a professional so can't really vouch for the technical HDR performance but overall colour and brightness is top tier and is thoroughly impressive for where the unit sits in the model line-up. An easy recommendation if a compromise is necessary on budget but not on image quality (and again, surprisingly not so much on speaker performance, albeit a dedicated setup will still be required for a 'proper' layout).

We love our Sony KD-43HX8196 television. We have installed a number of internet TV and radio apps. We are never short of a good programme to watch. We like travel programmes and detective mysteries and there is plenty of choice to be had. I am also a music fan and enjoy a few stations which satisfy my niche taste in music. It is all very easy to set up and the sound and picture quality are great.

assurdo non poter accoppiare dispositivi bluetooth A2DP su un dispositivo android. Per farlo è necessario installare applicazioni di terze parti. All'inizio pensavo che la tv fosse danneggiata poi cercando in rete ho visto che sony ha deciso di non poter associare i dispoitivi A2DP che sono il 99% delle casse e cuffie bluetooth sul mercato.

I love Sony products. They are built to the highest standard, and look great. I purchased the Sony XH81 65inch Led TV, it's amazing. The sound and picture are so detailed and crystal clear. I was a TV service engineer in the 1980s-1990s, and Sony TVs were the best. Recently, I was in the market for a new TV, so I bought a Sony. Once installed, there was no Bluetooth, I tried several pairs of headphones to no avail. I contacted the seller but, no response was forthcoming. Secondly, when switched on, after a few minutes, Android restarts, which means, restarting the TV, and that process takes minutes, which is infuriating when trying to watch a program. Android does this a few times in succession too! That said it still has a great picture and Google Assistant.

This TV (KD-49XH8196) is the worst TV I have ever known. Al the problems it suffers are intermittent which makes it even more aggravating. Switch on and off - 2 or three attempts or more. Connect to set top box - via USB. Has to be done via remote. This is the WORST TV I and many others have ever owned

A good few months ago by now, we had to replace the old TV as the processor would not handle the internet demands anymore.
